Steven Clark: Mediation and Arbitration Experience

Upon graduating and passing the Texas Bar in May, 1978, he worked as a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit for two years in New Orleans, La. from 1978 through 1980. As a staff attorney, he reviewed and analyzed appeals filed at the Fifth Circuit, making written recommendations to the Court whether summary disposition or oral argument was appropriate.
He has practiced business and commercial litigation in and around Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding communities since 1980. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Fifth Circuit Court, the Eleventh Circuit Court, the Federal Court of Appeals, and all Federal District courts in Texas.
As a litigator, he has tried arbitration cases, and mediated hundreds of others in his career. He continues to try jury cases, having successfully tried two jury cases in federal and state court in the spring of 2023. He also tried a fraudulent transfer case in Harris County district court in 2022 and recently was awarded a substantial judgment in that matter.
He understands the litigation process, has tried numerous business and commercial disputes and labor & employment cases in state and federal courts in Texas and outside of Texas.
He has handled sophisticated matters, including trademark disputes, trade secrets and post-employment covenants, healthcare, construction, corporate and real estate matters.
He has helped clients in the purchase and sale of businesses, drafted agreements and contracts, and represented companies in audit matters, business and partnership matters.
